The short version: your uploaded documents are processed to generate your report and are not retained. We do not sell your data, share it with third parties, or use it to train AI models.
1. Who we are
MEPCheck AI ("we," "us," or "our") provides an AI-assisted quality control tool for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineers. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our website and services.

2. Information we collect
Information you provide
- Account information — your name and email address, provided at signup or checkout.
- Payment information — billing details are collected and processed by Stripe, our payment provider. We do not store card numbers or full payment credentials on our servers. We receive only a payment confirmation and subscription status from Stripe.
- Contact form submissions — name, email, company, and message content when you contact us.
- Reviewer notes — any notes you type into the Reviewer Notes field before running a review. These are included in the AI request and discarded after the review completes.
Documents you upload
When you upload drawings, schedules, or specifications, those files are transmitted to our AI processing infrastructure. They are used solely to generate your QA/QC report. They are not stored after the review completes, not indexed or searchable, not shared with any third party, and not used to train any AI model.
File contents are transmitted over TLS 1.3 encryption. Processing takes place in our Cloudflare infrastructure. Once your report is returned to your browser, the uploaded files are discarded from our systems.
Automatically collected information
- Usage data — pages visited, buttons clicked, review counts (per session, not linked to document content).
- Session identifiers — a random anonymous ID stored in your browser's sessionStorage, used only to enforce per-session plan limits. It is not linked to your name or email and is discarded when you close the tab.
- Server logs — standard web server logs including IP address, browser type, and request timestamps. Retained for up to 30 days for security monitoring.
3. How we use your information
- To provide and operate the MEPCheck AI service.
- To process payments and manage your subscription via Stripe.
- To respond to support and contact enquiries.
- To enforce plan limits (review counts, page limits).
- To send transactional emails (receipts, subscription confirmations). We do not send marketing emails without explicit consent.
- To monitor for abuse, fraud, and security incidents.
4. How we share your information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in the following limited circumstances:
- Stripe — payment processing. Stripe's privacy policy governs how they handle your payment data. See stripe.com/privacy.
- Anthropic — our AI processing provider. Document content is transmitted to Anthropic's API to generate your review. Anthropic does not retain API request content for training. See anthropic.com/privacy.
- Cloudflare — infrastructure and security. Cloudflare processes requests through its global network. See cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.
- Legal requirements — we may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect our legal rights.
5. Data retention
- Uploaded documents — discarded immediately after review generation. Not retained.
- Account information — retained for the duration of your account plus 90 days after cancellation, then deleted.
- Payment records — retained as required by applicable tax and accounting laws (typically 7 years).
- Server logs — retained for up to 30 days.
6. Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights including access to your personal data, correction of inaccurate data, deletion of your account and associated data, and objection to certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, submit a request via our contact form. We will respond within 30 days.
7. Cookies
MEPCheck AI does not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies. We use only functional session storage (in your browser's sessionStorage, not cookies) to maintain your review session. No persistent tracking identifiers are set across sessions.
8. Children's privacy
MEPCheck AI is a professional tool intended for use by adults in commercial and engineering contexts. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18 years of age.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. For material changes, we will notify active subscribers by email at least 14 days before the change takes effect.
